There's a feature that's causing issues with the network. It's called "Private Addresses" and it changes the MAC address for each network. This is an issue because we use MAC authentication to allow devices access to the network.
For iPhone's and iPad's:
- Open the Settings app, then tap on Wi-Fi.
- Tap on the information button
next to the WiFi network name - Tap on the Use Private Address toggle to turn it off, a privacy warning will pop up.
- To immediately switch to the original hardware MAC address, turn off Wi-Fi on the device and turn it back on.
For Mac:
Requires macOS Sequoia 15 or later
- From the Apple menu, choose System Settings.
- Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar, then click the Details button or More Info button
next to the network name. - From the menu next to Private Wi-Fi Address, choose Off, Fixed, or Rotating. Learn more about these settings.
For Android:
- Android (Stock/Pixel): Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Select Network > Privacy > Use Device MAC.
- Samsung Galaxy: Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Tap the gear icon next to the network > MAC address type > Select Phone MAC.
- Other Android Devices: Look for similar network settings, often labeled "View More" or "Advanced" under the specific network's settings to find the MAC address options.
Windows devices:
-
• Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi .
• Turn off Use random hardware addresses.
